Providing information on price used for calculating import duty on vehicles

To respond to the official letter No 816/HQHN-NV of Ha Noi Customs Department requesting for provision of information of value of new car with five seats, brand name of Lexus GS350 made in Japan in 2007, General Department of Customs issued the official letter No 3342/KTTT of June 10, 2007 as follows:

- a car with brand name Lexus GS350, capacity of cylinder of 3.5 made in Japan in 2007 was offered on website of http://lexus.com. USD 54,900 per unit.

- the prices of a Lexus GS350, capacity of cylinder of 3.5 made in Japan in 2007 was declared on the Customs Declaration Forms No 122/NK/KD of April 23,  2007 and  179/NK/KD of May 23,  2007 with doubtful prices of USD 30,400 per unit and  USD 30,998.45 per unit, respectively.

It requests that Ha Noi Customs Department on the basic of authorities, principles of determination of prices as provided for in Decree No 115/2005/ND-CP of Government, Circular No 133/2005/TT-BTCC of December 15,2005 of Ministry of Finance, Official letter 3263/TCHQ-KTTT of July 19, 2006 and other guiding documents on examining the determination of prices used for calculation of tariff with regard vehicles and motorcycles of General Department of Customs to determine the price used for calculation of tariff as provided.
